The controller of the personal data collected through this site is 1+1 Arquitectos, with its address at Rua 19, n.º 231, 3.º andar, 4500-256 Espinho, Portugal.

02Data collected and purpose
This site collects personal data only when you provide it voluntarily, through one of two forms. Both follow the same technical route, described below: the data is sent to this site's server, which forwards it by email.
Contact form
It collects name, email address, telephone (optional) and the content of the message. The purpose is to answer your enquiry.
Submission goes to an endpoint on this site's server, which forwards the data by email, through the Resend service, to the internal address of 1+1 Arquitectos. The site does not store it in a database or on disk: the message data then resides in the recipient's mailbox.
Application form
It collects name, email address, telephone (optional), area of interest, the motivation text and the curriculum vitae in PDF format (up to 3.5 MB). The purpose is to consider your application.
Submission goes to an endpoint on this site's server, which forwards the data by email, through the Resend service, to the internal recruitment address. The CV file is processed in memory and attached to that message: the site does not store it in a database or on disk. The application data then resides in the recipient's mailbox.
Please note that a CV may contain data this form does not ask for — such as date of birth, nationality, address or photograph. The content of the document you attach is your choice.
Map on the contact page
The contact page shows a map whose images are loaded directly by your browser from the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. That loading transmits your IP address and technical browser information to that organisation. This processing is not controlled by 1+1 Arquitectos.
Usage analytics
This site uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, described in section 7. They collect aggregated usage and page performance data, without cookies and without storage in your browser.
Data this site does not collect
No advertising or cross-site tracking tools are used. No user profiles are created and no automated decision-making takes place about you.
03Lawful basis
The processing of the data submitted through either form is based on the consent you give by ticking the box accepting this policy before submitting, under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
In the case of applications, the processing may also be based on taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(b).
You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point.
04Recipients and processors
Your data is not sold or transferred for commercial purposes. It is processed by the following organisations, each with a distinct role:
- Resend — handles the sending of the emails generated by both forms, including the CV attached to an application.
- Vercel — hosts this site and provides the analytics service. As host, it processes the data from both forms in transit and generates technical server logs, which may include IP addresses and error messages. As analytics provider, it receives page usage data through Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, described in section 7.
- OpenStreetMap Foundation — supplies the map images, as described in section 2.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Resend and Vercel are organisations based in the United States of America. We cannot therefore state that your data is processed exclusively within the European Economic Area, and international transfers may occur.
This section is unconfirmed. The contractual conditions and the safeguards applying to each of these providers have to be verified before the site is published.
05Retention periods
As described in section 2, this site has no database of its own: the data you submit resides in the email messages received and in the systems of the providers listed in section 4. How long those messages are kept depends on the internal retention practice of 1+1 Arquitectos.
The specific retention periods are yet to be defined and will be stated in this section. Until they are established, this policy makes no claim about how long your data is retained.
06Data subject rights and how to exercise them
As the data subject, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to alexandre@ummaisum-arquitectos.com. You may be asked for additional information to confirm your identity before the request is met.
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados — CNPD (the Portuguese data protection authority).
08Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised whenever there are changes to how the site works, to the services used or to applicable law. The date of the last revision appears at the top of the page.
